With the Design with light lantern, Holmegaard pays homage to life in the open air. The collection was created by designer Maria Berntsen, who has moved far away from the classic outdoor lantern with her organic design language and sophisticated choice of materials.

Design with Light by Maria Berntsen - designed for life in the open air! With the first warm spring nights comes a shift in daily rituals: domestic life becomes outdoor life. Candles and torches are the epitome of coziness and a relaxed atmosphere.

Made of glass with leather handle

For Design with Light Maria Berntsen was inspired by the bottle. Both from its familiar shape and from the idea of small and large bottles arranged in groups. The Holmegaard Design with Light lanterns are therefore available in different sizes, which have been carefully coordinated and can be perfectly arranged to create a still life on the floor, terrace or garden table.

The lanterns with leather handles from Holmegaard have been designed in transparent or matt white glass. Tea lights or block candles can be placed in the teardrop-shaped center as required.

"Creating a good product means optimizing form and function through detail." _{Maria Berntsen} As a practical detail, the designer has therefore given each lantern a Design with Light lantern a carrying handle made of natural leather, which makes it a portable and active object.
