Lounge Chair by Bodil Kjaer
In 1959 the Danish architect and designer Bodil Kjaer launched a range of furniture for indoor and outdoor use. She was commissioned to create a series for the US market that would be based on the architecture and nature of the garden at the time. The result was clear and streamlined furniture with a timeless look. Carl Hansen is now launching this series again on the market, which also includes the BK11 Lounge Chair.
The lounge chair made of solid teak convinces with its elegant and clear form and radiates both warmth and precision. The seat and backrest of the lounge chair are inclined and consist of individual slats. They provide a high level of comfort that can be further enhanced by a matching seat cushion with a weatherproof cover. Armrests, legs and connecting struts form a square around the seat and backrest on both sides. These three components are connected to each other by interlocking. The lounge chair fits perfectly with the BK12 lounge sofa and the BK16 side table.
