While some of the furniture pieces are used as central furnishing elements in the house, others rather have a margined existence in a corner. This “additional” furniture pieces do primary serve to make every day a little easier, without needing much space. Skagerak and the designer Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm put a end to the traditional existence of such additional pieces.
The designer Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm cleans the widely spread understanding of additional furniture with the minimalistic Georg Collection. She gives a new meaning to characteristic furnishing elements, as they deserve it, for Skagerak.
Where the Georg console table is leaned against the wall, bench and stool will exceptionally bribe with their unusual positioned legs. The Georg stool and bench have cushions, held by an elegant leather strap. And the wall leaning mirror is an interesting contrast to the hanging clothes rail with clothes hangers in leather straps. Together, both furnishing elements tell the story of adults and children meeting on the same level everywhere. The combination of untreated oak wood, untreated leather and enamelled wool make up a strong expression to the Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm designed Georg Collection for Skagerak, fitting in every room and completely according to the time-spirit.
