The design manufacturer Magis produces the convincingly simple Air Chair after a design from Jasper Morrison since the year 2000. Six years later, the British designer and the Italian design company piled the fire of the Air Chair up with armrests.
Morrisons works are generally deemed to be simply reduced to the essentials. So that also the armchair was designed stackable and manufactured out of polypropylene that is reinforced with glass fibre and worked out with a complicated die casting procedure.
The armrests flow seamlessly, “in one casting” into the chair legs, what offers an extreme lightness to the chairs. This effect is reinforced because empty rooms emerge at the sides through which the Air promises an airy seat-comfort – totally according to its name. Because of the robust plastic material, the Air Chair is suitable for inside and outdoor areas.
Beside the below showed colour variants, the Air-Armchair is also available in further colours.
