Design classic: cantilever chair by Verner Panton
The Panton Chair is a design classic chair by Verner Panton from the 60s. The plastic cantilever chair was updated in 2021, so it is now available in new colours as well as an adjusted seat height of 44 cm, making it even more comfortable. Also new are the already integrated glides, which prevent scratching of the floor surface.

Today's Panton Chair from Vitra convinces with numerous features that make it special: It can bear a load of up to 120 kg and is therefore extremely stable, with a low dead weight. The production of the Panton Chair
The Panton Chair is manufactured using the modern injection moulding process. In this process, the basic material, a granulate at 230°C, is injected into a mould. Weighing 10 tons, the machine presses the chair into shape and gives it its iconic design. After cooling down, the front part of the mould is removed and the Panton Chair is almost finished. Now the edges are finished and other finishing touches are made - and there's one more design piece in the world.
