Lounge chair with high backrests and headrest
The CH78 by Carl Hansen, lovingly referred to as the Mama Bear Lounge Chair, is defined by inviting curves that offer a warm hug. Its particularly aesthetic character results from the way in which it balances out soft, rounded shapes with dynamic geometries and from fine details such as the wooden claws on the armrests.
This light, modern lounge chair is both soft and supportive, providing ergonomic comfort for the neck and back, and promoting rest and relaxation. The removable headrest increases seating comfort to a maximum. The Mama Bear Lounge Chair can be placed in a reading corner in the living room or in the hallway next to a side table.
Solid oak or walnut and various upholstery colors
The frame of the design chair consists of either oiled oak or walnut wood from FSC®-certified forests. The upholstery is made of wool and is available in many different colors.
Knud Erik Hansen, CEO of Carl Hansen & Søn, explains: "The characteristic expression and lightness of the CH78 Lounge Chair fits perfectly into a modern context and, last but not least, into the Carl Hansen & Søn collection. It is also a natural continuation of the CH71 chair by Hans J. Wegner and the CH72 sofa from 195 2. Like these two pieces, the CH78 is the embodiment of comfort in a limited space. "
