Architectural design object
The Tavolo a Dischi, designed by Carlo De Carli in 1963, is an example of Italian mid-century design that combines architecture and furniture design. Its structure of stacked, concentric wooden discs reflects De Carli's aspiration to combine technical precision, material quality and functionality. The table was originally a response to Eero Saarinen's "Tulip Table" and is characterized by a sculptural yet stable form.
- Base made of stacked, FSC®-certified wooden discs with a metal core for high stability
- Table top made of walnut-veneered plywood
- Burnished steel accent band for visual contrast and protection of the base
