The world-famous designer Ettore Sottsass designed unique wooden products for Alessi back in the 80s and 90s. The small mill ES19 from the Twergi -collection is one of his designs. It is suitable for salt, pepper or other spices. The spice mill is made on a lathe according to traditional craftsmanship and impresses with its soft and organic shape. Its curves not only flatter the hands, but in combination with the warm colors also have a calming and pleasant effect on the eye. Since 1989, Alessi has been reviving the centuries-old manufacturing tradition on the lathe. Many young designers were fascinated by the simplicity of the tool and have since designed various wooden products. The Twergi -collection includes pepper mills, corkscrews, tins and bowls.
