Alessi has been producing the successful kettle since 1985. The well-known architect and designer Michael Graves created the 9093 "Bird Kettle", a combination of classicism and postmodernism.
The bird on the spout of the 9093 appears as an homage to porcelain predecessors and decorations on American tea services of the 1 9. century. In contrast, the Alessi steel kettle itself has a classic conical shape, emphasized by a ring of dots on the underside and a black ball as a lid handle.
The world-famous kettle with the item number " 9093 " is the head of a family of kitchen products that the American architect and designer Michael Graves created for Alessi in the 1980s and 90s. With the "Bird Kettle" from 1984, Graves created an excellent kettle that uniquely represents a mixture of postmodernism and pop and thus laid the foundation for the typical design of the 1990s.
The 9093 kettle was the first product by an American designer to enter the Alessi range. Today, the iconic kettle is the Italian company's best-selling item worldwide Alessi .
