Artemide - Tolomeo Basculante Lettura Floor Lamp

The Tolomeo Basculante Lettura floor lamp from Artemide is a member of the famous Tolomeo series by Italian designers Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina. You can see the relationship clearly when looking at the lamp’s frame: the distinctive, adjustable arm of glossy aluminium is typical for the Tolomeo family.

The lampshade, made from a choice of multiple elegant materials, and base made of polished aluminium complete the image of the Basculante Lettura: The shade appears less technical and cool than the aluminium shade on the ‘classic’ Tolomeo lamp by Artemide.

The majority of the Tolomeo floor lamp’s light is projected directly downwards. With the adjustable arm, the light can still be directed to a desired height and direction, making the Tolomeo Basculante Lettura outstanding as a reading lamp, for example. The slightly translucent shade made of satin or parchment paper lets a little of the light shine through it, shimmering softly.
