85 Lamps

The suspension 85 Lamps by Rody Graumans made for Droog Design is made of the wherewithal materials of a lamp and because of that i became a modern classic design.

85 Lamps combines more and less at ones: Less, because there is no lampshade, no detailed decorations, no coating, but cable and light bulbs. More, because 85 Lamps is made of 85 cables and light bulbs.

Roddy Graumans combines the simplicity of cables, light bulbs, and their frames with this unique suspension, which through that usually would look ugly and plain, looks in this case very nice and impresses the viewer.

The light bulbs in their frame form a cone, which goes to the top together in an ball of terminal strips and lets the lamp look spectacular. Rody Graumans proofes with 85 Lamps, that it is easy to design simple daily things into spetacular designer objects.

85 Lamps is a designer series all over the world and you can find it at the Museum of Art in New York and in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
