Umbrella for Strong Wind
The aerodynamic shape and the advanced technology ensure that the Blunt umbrella resists wind speeds of up to 120 km/h. In addition the Blunt storm umbrella doesn’t have any sharp, protruding edges which increases the safety of the people around you and avoids ripping the material.
The Blunt umbrella owes its striking shape to the use of advanced technologies. In addition the Quick Dry polyester gives the umbrella a strong structure. The material is stretched over the frame with six struts making the whole construction stronger.
At the same time the Blunt umbrella is a sustainable product: it has been developed to resist the most extreme weather conditions and as a consequence of the high quality material the brolly is a faithful companion in all kinds of weather for years.
The strength that comes when the umbrella is opened is spread over the whole area of tension by the Radial Tensioning System (RTS). RTS thereby creates a strong, aerodynamic umbrella without sharp edges: the Blunt umbrella.
The Blunt umbrella is opened as with conventional umbrellas by the advanced Push-/Pull-handle. However, what happens afterwards is completely different.
Blunt is different because the cover is put under maximum tension and this is done in a revolutionary way. The frame of the Blunt umbrella is additionally reinforced by the so-called “Double Struts”. The force which comes when opening the Blunt umbrella is conducted through the double struts to the umbrella struts.
In contrast to conventional umbrellas, the struts don’t have fixed lengths but are telescopic, the so-called “Floating Ribs”. These floating ribs conduct the force onwards to the patented Blunt Tips at the end of each umbrella strut. Thus the Blunt Tips unfold and spread the force over the whole edge of the material instead of only to one point.
