Slim floor lamp with flat shade
The Minneapolis Floor lamp from Frandsen combines the classic design aspects of a street lamp with modern, clear lines and slim forms. Thanks to the extremely flat lamp base and the stand, which is reduced in detail, it takes up very little space in the room and yet gives it a unique, stylish touch.
So the floor lamp can not only be placed in a cosy reading corner next to the armchair, but also next to the bed, the sofa or in the hallway. With its unique, almost Japanese-style lines, the luminaire is an excellent match for many furnishing styles that go beyond its original purpose - the hotel industry.
It is made of painted steel and is also available in various colours.
Lighting series from the design of the Crowne Plaza
The Minneapolis series was created in connection with the design of the Scanticon Hotel and Conference Centre in Minneapolis Minnesota, in 1984 (now Crowne Plaza). Behind the design is the Danish architectural office Friis & Moltke.
The luminaires were also used in the Borupgård conference centre and the H.C. Andersen Hotel in Odense, both in Denmark.
