Floor lamp in metal and granite
The Grant floor lamp by Normann Copenhagen was designed by Simon Legald, who was inspired by Copenhagen's famous street lighting for the Grant series. The round, compactly shaped steel lampshade with a filigree frame is balanced by a granite base.
A clever detail is the way in which the supporting leg of the luminaire connects to the granite base. In contrast to other floor lamps, the frame of the lamp does not merge with the base in the middle, but rather connects with the granite at the edge of the circular base. This creates an extraordinary tension, which makes the luminaire appear dynamic.
Metallic gloss and matt stone
The granite and steel of the Grant luminaire create an aesthetic interplay between the metallic shine and the matt depth effect of the granulated stone. The luminaire is suitable both for private use and for use in public places such as hotels or offices. The simple, graceful design remains unmistakably classic.
