Home Stories: Home in Winter
Every home reflects the character and personality of its inhabitants. Characterized by consistency and change, unique collages are created, which make each of us the author of our own home stories again and again.
This idea has accompanied Vitra and its designers for several generations: from Charles and Ray Eames, Jean Prouvé and Verner Panton to contemporary designs by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Hella Jongerius, Jasper Morrison and Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
In winter 2019/2020 Vitra will concentrate on the couple Charles and Ray Eames with the Home Stories. Vitra has been browsing the museum archives to understand the stories behind the designers' designs and discover new facets of timeless classics. The design philosophy of the couple still shapes the values, orientations and goals of Vitra today and inspires design lovers from all over the world.
Selected furniture and home accessories from the Vitra archive are part of this year's Winter Series, which continues to impress with its timeless and elegant design.
The Eames archive becomes the modern home.
