Adjustable children's furniture

Since 1986, the de Breuyn family business develops and manufactures furniture for children in Cologne, which are primarily made from natural materials. The standard at de Breuyn’s is to manufacture child-friendly furniture made from solid wood using non-toxic, natural materials and to distribute them with respect to ecologically-sound ways of production. Beds that adjust to the child’s body height from the age of a toddler to the teen age are the family business’ field of expertise.

The approach to the ecological treatment of nature, sustainable practice in production and transport, the desire to ensure the highest degree of quality, stability and safety and to create aesthetic furniture for the nursery and children’s playing room is the Cologne based producer’s highest priority. The company's philosophy is based on four principles: ergonomics, safety, sustainability and design.

Child-friendly ergonomics is important, so that the child can make a healthy development. The children’s safety is at the highest interest, which is why the materials and designs as well are designed on every detail in order to prevent any risk of injury.

The used materials, which are specifically selected, come for the most part from sustainable productions. All products are free of harmful substances and absolutely safe for children. Sustainability is also behind the idea of adjustable beds that grow with the child. From infancy until the teen age only a single bed is required. This way, costs and materials are saved.

The design however is not neglected, but combines stability and aesthetics in timeless pieces of furniture for children. Since children like to have it nice and comfortable, too.
