Family-Run Weaving with Danish Tradition Since 1756
The Danish family company Georg Jensen Damask has been producing household textiles since 1756 focusing on timeless designs with a special handcrafted quality. As one of Denmark's oldest weaving mills, the traditional business is careful to produce textiles with a classic Scandinavian design, characterised by functionality and quality.
Over the centuries, Georg Jensen Damask has worked with many recognised weavers, designers and architects such as Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Andreas Engesvik, Margrethe Odgaard and Nanna Ditzel. Since 2000, Georg Jensen Damask has been labelled Purveyor to Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.
Designers from around the world and the internal design team work together daily to create new patterns for household textiles and accessories for bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and also bedrooms, paying particular attention to relevance, function and timelessness. Inspired by the comprehensive design archive of Georg Jensen Damask, which dates back to the 19th century, they always choose older designs for new interpretations.
Georg Jensen Damask has been owned by the Hviid family since 1999, a regional family from Kolding.
