French Hand-crafted Furniture

The founder of Red Edition Cyril Laborde loves the times we live in; in his own words: the immediacy of digital technology, the simplicity of communication with others and the easy access we have to other cultures. The design company Red Edition, founded in 2006 and based in Paris, is a concentrate of what Cyril Labord is inspired by.

The furniture is designed by a team of designers and creative minds in Paris and then produced in Saigon. The fascination of the present time for Cyril Laborde is that the finished furniture is exhibited in Paris as well as in Hong Kong and all over the world and the designs are demanded in countries, like Denmark where they would have never become known, if it hadn’t been for the density of networking and globalisation.

The fascination with the possibilities of digital technology is complemented by the love of craftsmanship and manual labour. The diversity and the Know-How of the craft in Vietnam and particularly in Saigon have been of interest to Laborde for a long time and are an essential part of the manufacturing process of the Red Edition furniture.
Since 2006, Red Edition stands for elegant, colourful and simple furniture creations with elegant vintage charm.

The furniture of Red Edition are to comply with the spirit of the times, but are also supposed to be compatible with the daily life. They are supposed to correspond with apartments, needs and desires and make everyday life more beautiful and easier.
