For more than 400 years, Skultuna has produced its products in the Swedish city with the same name. With a great sense of quality, function and design, Skultuna is already creating the antiques of tomorrow.

The founding year of Skultuna was in 1607, and from the very start, the manufacturer worked on the production of high-quality brass products at the request of King Karl IX. The Swedish company had to bring in its first master craftsmen from Germany and the Netherlands until the knowledge for the production was rooted in Sweden. In the 15

th
and 16th century, design was still part of the handicraft.

In the late 17th century,

industrial methods started to come into the industry, and processes and approaches were standardised– this is what is known as industrial design today.

Tradition and modernity
Tradition is a central element at Skultuna. And there are new modern products today, but the spirit that dwells within them has existed for many hundreds of years.

The journey through history was often hard for Skultuna, but the manufacturer still inhabits the same place where it was founded. Multiple large fires and flash floods weren’t able to stop Skultuna over the centuries. In the long history of the manufacturer, Skultuna has often worked together with the most famous designers of the times. This hasn’t changed today, just like the companies headquarters in the heart of Sweden.
