
Benjamin Hopf has been a lot of years a part of the Büro für Form (office for shapes) which he founded with Constantin Wortmann and with which he designed a lot famous products and got several awards.
Benjamin Hopf was born in 1971 in Hamburg. After graduating in 1990 he started to study Design at the Miami International University of Art & Design. 1992 he moved back to Germany, where he studied Industrial Design at the College in Munich. In 1996 he worked for 6 months at Siemens Design (now Design Affairs). In 1998 he finished his studies with a diploma in Industrial Design.
While the last semester did Benjamin Hopf found the Büro für Form with Constantin Wortmann. They worked in the categories lamps-, furniture-, interior-, and graphic-design and designed for international customers like for example Osram, Serien Lighting, Next, Elmar Flötotto, Habitat, Ycami, Kundalini, Umbra and many others. Their works where awarded with many international design prizes.
After nine years working together he founded in 2007 his own design studio Benjamin Hopf.
