Danny Venlet was born in Austria and studied initially Informatics at the University Brussels, before he studied Interior Architecture at the St. Lucas Institute of Architecture and Visual Arts, graduating with excellence in 1983.
His professional experience he collected among others at Peter Sands, Inarc design and documentation NZI, Raine and Horne NAB, Arab Australia NAB and Rice and Daubney Architects. After his cooperation with neil Burley (1988) and Marc Newson (1988 to 1990) he finally founded his own design studio “Venlet Interior Architecture” in 1991.
His furnishing projects reach from private houses, lofts, bars and restaurants to showrooms and offices of great companies such as Timberland or Siemens. With his work, Danny Venlet is continuously on fairs and expositions, such as the Milan furniture fair, the Hannover expo, in Museum voor Kunst en Geschiedenis in Brussels or on the State of Design Festival, Design from Flanders, in Melbourne.
Venlet also found recognition on different design competitions, where he has also been awarded – so as 2003 in Belgium with the Henri van de Velde Prijs.
His experience as interior architect he passed to different schools and Universities in Belgium and Australia, for example to the University of Sydney, to the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in Sydney as well as the St. Lucas Institute of Architecture, Gent and Brussels.
