Fanny Aronsen

The renowned designer Fanny Aronsen (1955-2011) grew up in Sweden, however she worked internationally most of her lifetime. Her Scandinavian background and her international experience is often contrasted with her designs and allowed to cross cultural and historical borders.

She has already been honoured for her innovative contemporaneous design, soon after starting to work with the luxurious combinations of tactile materials with fascinating textures and individual colours.

She founded her own label Fanny Aronsen in 1998 and became famous among architects, designers and furniture manufacturers because of her refined textures and the colour combinations.

Fanny Aronsen’s designs have been awarded multiple times with, e. g. the red dot design award, the Swedish Utmärkt Svensk Form, the Netherlands Mobila Innovative Prijs as well as the Goed Industrieel Ontwerp.

Besides her work as designer, Fanny Aronsen was also professor at the Konstfack – University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm from 2003 to 2010.

Fanny Aronsen passed by the 3rd of July 2011 with 55 years because of cancer.
