Kazuhide Takahama was born in Japan in 1930 and began to work for the studio from Kazuo Fuioka in Tokyo after he graduated in architecture.
In the year 1957 he met Dino Gavina during a visit of the Triennial in Milan. They worked together for a while.
In the year 1963 he moved to Bologna and cared contacts to the active Italian designers of that time. In a climate full of vivid exchange he develops his own, distinctively defined stylish expression.
His designed furniture is characterized by purity and strength of its form. His works remind of aspects of oriental culture, which is where his printing came from.
