Hussein Chalayan (turk.: Hüseyin Çağlayan) was born on Cyprus in 1970. The Turkish-British fashion designer works as manager, designer and concept artist.
Hussein Chalayan soon went to England: He works in the British capital London since 1982. He graduated at the Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. The will to experiment in his designs is characteristic for Chalayan, which is how he became internationally famous.
Hussein Chalayan is creative director of the Puma AG since 2008. The works of the British-Turkish designer were already exposed in the Louvre, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Tate Museum and many more international institutions.
