Jörg Brachmann is a German designer of the "Swedish City" Lützen. The founder of label Urbanature focuses on the manufacturing of sustainable products.
"We are drawn to the natural world. It’s in our nature. And yet we live in cities and stare at the walls", says Jörg Brachmann. With his company Urbanature, founded in 2013, the carpenter and designer tries to bridge the gap between city life and the rural, in your own home. Of course, the urbanization cannot be stopped, so what could be more appropriate as to take nature with you?
A Piece of Nature in the Urban Everyday Life
The products by Jörg Brachmann transport a piece of nature into the urban everyday life. In collaboration with regional craft specialists he develops solutions that allow his products to be manufactured in a way that is both economical and high-quality. Therefore, only wood from sustainable forests as well as recyclable materials - even for the packaging - is used.
Even custom-made product are receiveable. That spirit is on his side proves the TrendAward which Urbanature was awarded with in the fields of sustainability and design shortly after the company was founded.
