Lucie Koldova

Product and Furniture Designer from Prague

Lucie Koldova is a product designer from Prague who is best known for her lighting and furniture creations. After studying design and architecture at the Academy of Arts in Prague, she moved to Paris in 2009 to found her own studio there. In Paris, Koldova was inspired by the charismatic, elegant style and the different cultures of the city and thus sharpened her own design language. She is now working from Prague again, creating designs for international clients such as Peruse or Brokis, convincing them with timeless pieces of furniture, glass sculptures and creatively designed luminaires.

Koldova uses classic craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology, focusing on the pure beauty of materials like wood and glass. Her special style is based on the well thought-out use of colours, unusual proportions and vibrant formal contrasts.

The Czech has already been awarded the title of Czech Designer of the Year and Elle Decoration Talent. At the imm cologne 2018, the international furnishing fair in Cologne, she also designed 'Das Haus', a special kind of installation in which international designers are invited every year to make a statement on a residential house simulation of architecture, interior design and furnishing to put contemporary living.
