Marco Acerbis was born in the Italian Bergamo. After he completed his architecture studies at the Polytechnic in Milan in 1998, Acerbis went to London. There he soon started working with the famous office Foster + Partners.
Marco Acerbis founded his own design studio in Italy in 2004. Already one year afterwards, the Italian designer created his first lamp for FontanaArte, the sculptural Vertigo. Its success was immediately big, so that it entered the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum. After two more years, he created the floor lamp Polaris as well as the wall lamp Iris.
