Designer with Attention to Detail
Ruud-Jan Kokke, born in Dutch Velp in 1965, opened his own studio in 1986. His designs have a high technical and visual quality with a simple, playful character. He is only satisfied when a piece of furniture has reached the highest level of balance between material, form and utility.
He describes himself as a man with great knowledge and love for materials and construction techniques.
Some of his designs are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Boymans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Museum of Applied Art in Cologne. His work has won several international awards. In addition, he also develops architectural and interior architectonic projects in public spaces.
