German designer for furniture, bags and fashion accessories
Christian Metzner is a German designer from Brandenburg who lives and works in Berlin. He studied architecture and product design in Potsdam and during his studies worked as a photo assistant for Sven Marquardt and for Saskia and Stefan Diez in Munich. He wrote his diploma thesis in 2012 in cooperation with the company Bree. After graduating, he worked for Philipp Bree on the design of the PB 01 bag brand. 10. Shortly afterwards, Metzner began his master's degree in clothing technology at the HTW Berlin. Bags and fashion accessories have been an integral part of his repertoire ever since, but his collection also includes furniture and home accessories.
His style is characterized by a formal austerity that is broken again and again in a playful way. The handcrafted products are given their very own character through refined details and an extraordinary choice of materials.
